I am well aware of many companies offering loans in Nigeria. Banks, private entities etc. some without collateral.
I am also aware of blogs that sometimes compare these loans and their features.
What I believe is the next level is for someone to have a portal where you can actually do the following
- Post a financial need and see which organisation is interested in your intentions and loan payback period. That way you are getting offers
- Practically browse and find the right lender for you looking at all the Institutions offering loans
- Manage your own credit portfolio – advice, ratings, cautions, dos and donts etc.
- Get a loan manager – secure the loan for your, protect you and ensure proper documentation and payback.
I believe this will go a long way in helping the small to medium enterprises in this country. Such a portal will have a host of agents ready to contact you, follow up, answer all your questions and give advice. They will however not show preference or represent any loan company. They should be on your side.
All online driven, all connected to every bank and every financial service provider.
