Staying at home during this Covid19 does bring some ideas of how we will begin to look for jobs and staff after the virus has significantly reduced to the level where we can all begin to go about our daily lives again. Some may not want to move out so quickly.
So this idea comes as I have seen that a significant amount of people did zoom, video chats and many other features of their phones they never really explored before. This idea is based on that.
The ideas is mainly for technology guys looking to build a relevant Post Covid19 platform or the Entrepreneur who can hire a tech developer to build the platform for them.
Basically the platform will enable the following
- Ability to do live interviews with applicants for job positions
- Ability to record interviews offline through the mobile App – Now this section may be tricky. I imagine that the interviewer would put in maybe 10 questions into a library and assign say 30 seconds (or any desired amount of time) for the answer of each question. The applicant will download the App or use the web interface and each question will pop up and the candidate answers. Technically if there are 10 questions, there will be 10 short video clips. So it all depends on what the Interviewer is interested in.
- Ability to distribute the applicants across a team (for each application or across a set of questions)
- The platform can also have its basic questions set up and the applicant will answer those questions. This will be no different from a Job board. Only that the Interviewer/Employer can now search for candidates and watch their videos before inviting for further interviews.
- Ability to compile your CV on the platform and include videos to convince Interviewers/Employers why you should be hired. This helps Employers take decisions quicker.
- Applicants can actually seek advice from platform experts on how their performance was on the creation of their VIDEO CV. This may enable them improve and put up a better interview performance.
Basically, interviews may take on a different shape going into the future. Employers may not want to take the risk of having crowds at their offices anymore.
So this looks like the future of interviews!
